Event Details

The 2015 Amgen Bay Area BioGENEius Challenge will be held at the Gladstone Institutes in Mission Bay, San Francisco on April 14, 2015. This science competition recognizes high school students conducting outstanding life science research in the areas of healthcare, agricultural bio and industrial/environmental biotechnology. Watch this space for updates and the announcement of open applications.

 

The Amgen Bay Area BioGENEius Challenge Includes:

– Project presentation to a panel of bio industry professionals

– Awards ceremony with cash awards:

First place: $2,000

Second place $1,000

Third place $500

– Honorable mention prizes

– Meals for student competitor and chaperone

– Student poster viewing and meet & greet mixer with Gladstone Institutes employees

 

The First and Second place winners of the Amgen Bay Area BioGENEius Challenge (and one chaperone per student) will receive an all-expenses paid trip to compete against other regional winners in Philadelphia, PA at the US National and International BioGENEius Challenges held at the Biotechnology Industry Organization International Convention on June 12-16, 2015.
