The MassBioEd Foundation annually recognizes an individual, an organization, and a teacher for outstanding advocacy for and contributions to biotechnology education in the region.

Champions for Biotechnology Education

This event is reception-style, featuring a jazz trio, passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations, and hosted bar.  A silent auction and reception will be followed by a short speaking program during which three honorees will receive their awards.

All event proceeds support MassBioEd\’s BioTeach program, which last year provided lab-based training to over 161 teachers from 94 schools, giving over 10,000 Massachusetts high school students a chance to learn new lab lessons in biotechnology. In the 2016-17 school year, 922 students participated in college and career exploration events, receiving first hand experiences and learning about opportunities within industry and higher education.
