ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Medical device packaging is arguably one of the most important pieces of the total product life-cycle as devices significantly depend on the perfect combination of design and material engineering to ensure patient safety. The engineers who develop medical device packaging have a responsibility to not only uphold quality standards while progressing innovation but also navigate within the confines of budgetary and development timeline restraints. Additionally, as the global healthcare industry becomes more patient centric with regulations established to support this change, developing robust packaging processes and documentation systems to satisfy both evolving domestic and international expectations is essential and will require training packaging teams to be specialized in various worldwide requirements.

The 3rd Semi-Annual Medical Device Packaging Conference will build upon the success of previous meetings to address very specific challenges of today’s packaging professional including designing packaging for regional specific regulations and culture preferences, shelf-life testing methodologies, strategies for material selection and calculating of minimum and maximum seal strength. Attendees will also find sessions focused on designing for sustainability, environmental control, and strategies for determining testing sample size.  These sessions along with hands on workshops with end users simulating work environments and peer-to-peer review of packaging will provide attendees a unique experience unparalleled in the industry.

This conference has been pre-approved by the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) as eligible for up to 12 credits towards a participant’s RAC recertification upon full completion.
