Event Details

Join Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, Cambridge Mayor David Maher, and Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch as the three cities launch the new Life Sciences Corridor, a regional economic development initiative focused on promoting the life sciences sector.

The robust life sciences industry in these cities is sustained by the availability of a skilled labor, access to leading universities, the existence of established innovative research and development districts, the proximity of major research hospitals, and the presence of venture capital resources.

The new Life Sciences Corridor is naturally connected by the Red Linesubway route, which serves as an important and efficient connective link between Cambridge, Boston and Quincy.

While each city has tremendous individual strengths to attract businesses from around the world,  this new collaborative venture will amplify economic development  in the region’s life sciences sector.

Speaking program to begin promtly at 11am:

  • Martin Walsh, Mayor of Boston
  • David Maher, Mayor of Cambridge
  • Thomas Koch, Mayor of Quincy
  • Susan Windham Bannister, CEO Massachusetts Life Sciences Center
  • Robert Coughlin, CEO Massachusetts Biotechnology Organization
  • Richard Rossi, Cambridge City Manager
