Halloran President and CEO, Laurie Halloran, and Managing Director, Katie McCarthy, present a webinar, One Size Fits All? Not for Small Sponsors and CROs, in partnership with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals on February 4, 2015.
The era of the blockbuster drug has waned and our industry is seeking innovative treatments in niche markets. Increasing numbers of start-up, small biotech and small pharma sponsors are emerging with promising molecules and devices. With outsourcing on the rise across the industry, small companies are vying for top quality CRO resources with smaller-scale trials, fewer internal resources to manage the relationship and tighter budgets.
This webinar will discuss these and other challenges faced by small companies when working with CROs, and solutions for successful collaboration. Best practices for strategic vendor selection, management and exclusive partnerships will be explored. Achieving the right balance between the vision and expectations of the small company with the expertise and experience of the CRO will be discussed. Case examples will be used to illustrate the myths associated with small sponsor and vendor relationships, and practical solutions for real-world application.
Upon completion of this Webinar, attendees should be able to:
- Explain the different challenges and needs that small sponsor companies face and CROs face when working together.
- Debunk the myths associated with vendor management by small companies, and discuss practical solutions for collaboration.
- Examine why informed vendor selection, strategic fit and partnerships benefit both companies.
