Event Details

Join WIB-Greater Boston and special guest, Addgene Executive Director, Joanne Kamens, Ph.D., as we officially launch our Mentors, Advisors, and Peers (MAPs) Program on Thursday, April 12, 2018. The program provides mentorship for Women In Bio members in small-group settings. The core of the program is mentoring groups of four or five mentees and two women, with accomplished careers, as mentors. Since group mentoring involves several participants, it promotes diversity of thinking, practice and understanding. Joanne Kamens will kick off the program as our keynote speaker, sharing lessons on what makes a successful mentoring experience.

All WIB members are welcome to attend to learn about best practices in mentoring. If you are interested in participating in the MAPs program, please fill out the Program Participation Survey by March 16, 2018 to get assigned to a mentoring group. If the program cannot accommodate you this year, we hope to offer it again in 2019. If you register as a mentor and have been assigned to a group, please use the discount code from the participant notification email (to be sent on April 2, 2018) for free registration.
