Kate H. Murashige, Ph.D., Senior Partner at Morrison & Foerster

 Dr. Murashige is an influential industry pioneer in patent counseling, prosecution, and re-examination for biotech and pharma clients.  She has served on the National Institutes of Health as a member of its National Biotechnology Policy and been a member of the Scientific Freedom and Responsibility Committee of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Dr. Murashige is highly regarded by her peers as a leading biotech lawyer, receiving numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. She was recently ranked at the very top of her field as a Senior Statesman by Chambers Global 2013 and named one of the Best Lawyers in America 2014 for Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Law.

Lisa Haile, Ph.D., Partner and Co-Chair, Global Life Sciences Sector at DLA Piper

 Dr. Haile’s practice encompasses US and International patent preparation and prosecution relating to novel genetically altered organisms, vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics, as well as patentability, infringement and validity determinations, licensing and strategic counseling. She is consistently praised by clients for her incredibly impressive knowledge of both science and the law; she received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology prior to entering the law profession. Dr. Haile has also been recognized by her peers throughout her career.
