The Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Day (PCAD) was established in 2009 and led to the creation and expansion of a Massachusetts model of national and international leadership in recognizing prostate cancer as a public health priority and major area of health care disparity. This event has been recognized by the Governor\’s Proclamation, State House and Boston City Council Resolutions and resulted in the rapidly growing support for the advancement of early diagnosis of prostate cancer among key state and federal legislators.

This year\’s event features Senate President Therese Murray, Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo and Bill Rodgers, Boston Marathon Legend and Prostate Cancer Survivor. Public Health Commissioner Cheryl Bartlett will serve as MC. They will also be joined by the key leaders of the State House, Boston City Council, medicine and advocacy.
