Event Details

Event Description

Few things are more taken for granted while we have it, yet cause fervent actions when we lose it– our health and vitality. The desire to know the unknown and to predict the future, the quest to control one’s own destiny and to triumph over existential anxiety have been woven within stories of all civilizations for millennia. Preventive medicine seems to be a relatively new term, yet it is a marriage between our oldest longing and our latest science.

This month we bring some of the brightest minds on this topic together to discuss the present and the future of preventive medicine. This encompasses the central dogma of biology (DNA, RNA, protein), bioengineering, personalized medicine, big data, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will learn how cutting-edge science can be used to improve your life.

We will be meeting at no other place than the world\’s first synthetic biology accelerator IndieBio. It\’s going to be a packed night (even more than usual) and we will have limited space so RSVP now! Also sign up for the Impact.tech newsletter to get notified about our future events and workshops.

Finally -if you like what we\’re doing and consider it important, consider donating $10/per month to our open collective, it helps us cover the costs. Thanks!
