2nd Strategic Partnerships for Drug Repurposing Forum

Drug repurposing, repositioning and rescue all allow pharmaceutical companies to maintain or increase the life cycle of drugs and decrease the expense of the full research and development process. Typically these drugs are either approved and marketed compounds used daily in a clinical setting, or drugs that have been “shelved.” These techniques are often used in the area of rare and orphan diseases since there is no incentive to formulate new drugs for small patient populations.

The 2nd Strategic Partnerships for Drug Repurposing Forum will showcase the importance of drug repurposing, repositioning and rescue through innovative strategies.  Attendees will learn about the different resources available to them, including public-private partnerships, foundations, patient advocacy groups, universities and other funding partners. We will highlight new innovations and explore methods for navigating regulations.
