This workshop will bring together scientists, Intellectual property managers and attorneys under one roof to discuss the current changes in the area of patents and its effect on technology licensing.

The first half of the workshop will focus on understanding patent reform and its effect on the licensing and the commercialization. Speakers will share their thoughts on outcome of the recent supreme court cases, and what it means to an inventor.

The second half will discuss licensing considerations, paths to become an entrepreneur followed by  hands on workshop on patent searching. Each talk will be followed by a few minutes question and answers.
